Cooking Mr. Robinson’s Home Made Sausage Rolls

Required Ingredients:

One pack of Mr. Robinson’s sausage roll seasoning

2lbs ground pork

4 floz cold water

1 beaten egg

1 pk puff pastry (we use Pepperidge Farms puff pastry).

Method:

In a large bowl mix together the pork & seasoning then add cold water & continue to mix until blended. Cover & place in the refrigerator for at least 1hr.

Cooking:

  • Preheat the oven to 400F.

  • Roll the puff pastry out into a large rectangle, then cut across into three long rectangles.

  • Place a layer of sausage meat mixture across the top of each pastry rectangle, then brush with beaten egg on one of the long edges.

  • Roll the top edge of the pastry over onto the egg-washed edge. Press down to seal and trim any excess. Cut each pastry roll into 8-10 small sausage rolls.

  • Place the sausage rolls onto a non-stick baking tray and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is crisp and golden and the sausage meat is completely cooked through.

  • Place cooked sausage rolls on a wire rack to cool.
