Mr Robinson’s is excited to partner with a butcher shop that shares the same values as us. As animal lovers and meat eaters, we have always known we wanted to make our sausages from humanely raised pigs.
Our search for the highest quality meat brought us to this partnership.
SONOMA COUNTY MEAT CO. is located at 35 Sebastopol Avenue, South of Highway 12, West of Highway 101, East of Dutton Ave. They have been voted as the Best Butcher Shop in Sonoma County for 5 years in a row: 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020!
They are a traditional butcher shop that specializes in local meat, sausages, and smoked meat. They are Sonoma County's only USDA-inspected and Custom Exempt meat processing facility, serving ranchers and hunters across the Bay Area. Where does our meat come from?
Our sausage meat is sourced from Stone Valley Farm with deep roots in California. The family has been involved in agriculture in California since the 1800s with ranches in Northern California.
Today they focus on raising Berkshire pigs. The higher fat content and the accompanying depth of flavor make the meat especially tasty and succulent which is why it is perfect for our sausages. They believe that happy pigs are tasty pigs and we agree! Their pigs live the luxury of open-air, deep-bedded barns with ample space to roam.
The pigs are fed only a vegetarian-based diet; no hormones or antibiotics, no animal proteins or animal protein by-products are ever used. This all-natural approach is the foundation of Stone Valley Farm and the deciding factor for us to source from them.
The Berkshire pig is revered for its juiciness, flavor and tenderness. They take pride in being part of its distinguished heritage as well as keeping the Berkshire breed alive, right here in the heart of California.
